All contributions must be submitted electronically in the PDF format via the START conference manager web page . If you have any problem, send an e-mail to fpl@utia.cas.cz.
Accepted papers will appear in the IEEE Xplore electronic library, which provides excellent visibility and accessibility to its contents.
PAPER FORMATTING INSTRUCTIONS
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished contributions as:
- 6 page papers to be considered as regular papers
- Submissions accepted as posters will have 4 pages
- 2 page extended abstracts for PhD forum contributions and tutorial proposals
The page limit includes tables, figures and references.
If the paper length exceeds the limits given above, an extra page charge must be selected when registering for the conference. Additional pages can be purchased with a price of 100 EUR per page, with 1 extra page allowed for poster papers, and 2 extra pages allowed for full papers. In other words, with extra pages poster papers can have up to 5 pages, and full papers up to 8 pages. The number of additional pages will be based on the camera-ready submission that should strictly follow the submission guidelines.

We strongly encourage the use of LaTeX for the preparation of the paper.
IEEE STYLE CHECK
Before uploading your PDF file, you should verify the IEEE Xplore compatibility using IEEE PDF eXpress. To do so, go to http://www.pdf-express.org, and register yourself using the conference id fpl09x. In addition, IEEE PDF eXpress can also be used to create the PDF file from your source files, such that the PDF file is automatically IEEE Xplore compatible.
Alternatively, you may consult the IEEE web author instructions on creating PDFs for IEEEXplore for proper setting of the Adobe Distiller.
COPYRIGHT FORM
Before submitting your camera-ready papers, for each paper complete and sign the IEEE copyright form found here. Scan it and email it to fpl@utia.cas.cz (Subject: FPL09 IEEE Copyright Form).
